Stories of the Far North (Bison Book) par Jon Tuska
Alaska gold rush stories in the style/era of Jack London (adventure/fiction from a historical period). Very nice compilation of some lesser known authors and the style of writing popular in magazines of that time period, though (except for London's story at the beginning) doesn't go very far, as you might expect, in showcasing the culture of the native people. PG.PG-13 for violence (lots of fighting males, knives and fisticuffs).
Excellent pictorial look at not only West's films but her early stage career as well.
'Prentice work of Jon Tuska, which makes it the epitome of all things jejune. Fascinating reading for anyone interested in close analysis of the works of L. "Lucky" Bruce Humberstone or the guy who directed "Snow White and the Three Stooges." I notice that this book is now selling online for $0.60. It's a pity I lent my copy out and can't seem to recall who borrowed it.
