Lee Tulloch

Firstly, i can't go without mentioning how beautiful this book is to look at - the cover is a symphony of pinks, from a deepest plum to a light fairy floss. Inside, the art work is beautiful as well - girly without being twee, feminine without being ott.

The writing is also first class. Lee Tulloch has worked in the fashion industry, and yet is not 'of' the fashion industry. She strikes the right balance, acknowledging that all sane people know that fashion is not really important, but that doesn't mean we can't be interested in it, and have fun with it. This collection of short essays is witty and well written, mixes insight with prediction; satirizing the excesses while revelling in the joys.
