Timothy J. Todish

An enthusiastic book, Todish's study filled an important gap in the literature by providing a concise survey of the French and Indian War. Anderson's more recent The War That Made America fills this gap better now, but Todish's book remains a useful companion. The numerous photos of most of the present day sites are very useful for anyone planning a staff ride and his passion for the subject permeates the pages.

An excellent little primer for anyone wishing an introduction to America's first First World War. Written in simple matter of fact prose and illustrated with a wealth of photographs taken over the course of many years of reenacting the period, living historian Tim Todish provides a concise overview of the key battles and campaigns of the French and Indian War. Recommended.
