Mr. Tindell makes me remember why I like reading International espionage thrillers. I used to imagine that I was a secret agent. Thus I had fun pretending that I was Jo Ann aka The White Vixen. She is one tough cookie. She seemed to be very easily matched to the Red Wolf. I found that Mr. Tindell really is a good storyteller. This book features story characters as well as a nice storyline. In addition, the pacing was great. I got "lost" in the story and found myself coming up for breath about 10 chapters later.

In regards, to the international piece, this story took me all over from: Maryland, West Germany, Siberia, Virginia, and Hungary to name a few places. With each location there were different characters. Sometimes this can make reading difficult with so many different characters to keep straight. Yet, it was seamless with this book. Each character had a purpose in the story. I look forward to reading more books by Mr. Tindell.

An honorable tribute to those men and women who serve in various fields of defense, protecting the freedoms of others is strongly proclaimed within these pages!

Brothers raised by dedicated, principled parents, were taught a strong sense of patriotism. Hayes men, for generations, had served in the military in defense of their country and its Constitution. Mark - the youngest of the two - had followed in the tradition of his forefathers. Jim - who had an injured knee - was rejected when he tried to enlist. Circumstances between the brothers caused them to become estranged from each other.

While Mark served his country, Jim had married and raised a daughter. After several years Jim witnessed the brutal death of his wife, not able to intervene quickly enough to prevent it. He made the decision then to return to his Martial Arts training he had neglected through the years of marriage.. He initially intended this to empower him to prevent similar injustices, but through the exhausting exertion of his training, it eased the pain of his wife's death.

Many other characters are brought into the story plot. Because of the manner it was done, the story lost much of its momentum. The reader became distracted trying to figure out how the new scenario or group of individuals introduced fit into the story. The entirety of the writing was well done. The message implemented was very strong. In the last third of the novel, the implement of the characters became apparent as it ended with substantial energy.

If it were not for a couple of slightly explicit sexual situations, the use of profanity and rough language, this would have appealed to a wider audience.

Much of the confusion could have been avoided if this novel had been written in two sequels or even a trilogy,
