Very readable book. I liked the slightly goofy heroine. The hero was a bit different. He was a survivor of a kidnapping when he was 10 and now that he is 30, he cannot convince his very rich father that he doesn't still need 4 guards around him 24 hours a day. He spends time trying to duck the guards. He is a pretty typical guy and is well written in the obliviousness that he has in places. The plot was pretty solid. Their fathers are old friends who have not spoken in 47 years and there is a lot of wondering what's up with that. Then there is the fact that she has a tendency to hook up with losers and the last one left her pregnant. The day she finds out she's pregnant, she meets the hero. That's got to suck and she doesn't really handle it well. I'm not usually a fan of this line but I liked this one.… (plus d'informations)

I really liked the heroine Abby, her family, and the Key West setting. I didn't like the hero Reese's reaction when he found out that Abby gave their baby up for adoption. He acted like an ass. I also didn't like or agree with the way that Abby seemed to be blamed for all that went wrong after the one night stand that resulted in her pregnancy 13 years ago. Reese left home without a trace after the one night stand, and Abby tried but couldn't locate him to tell him that she was pregnant. The blame seemed very one-sided. Reese came off as blameless through it all, he wasn't very romantic and never seemed that much in love. I didn't like Reese and thought he was a jerk. The likable heroine, her family and the great setting in Key West was all that saved this book for me.… (plus d'informations)

rabck box from bookstogive 10/10; Author did a very good job of describing Key West. After a one night stand with Reese - and being unable to contact him afterwards, Abby left town pregnant and their son was adopted. Now 13 years later, she's back in town to help her father. Lots of family feuding, Reese is back and a policeman and falling in love with Abby.

This Hero for Hire was good. The topic of organic farming and election are perfect topics right now. This keeps your attention and interest in the story. Has some twists that you don't see coming to soon. It is a clean read. Shorter story but good.

Boone makes a good hero. He is a cop. He does not want to bodyguard the Governor's daughter but can't turn him down. He tries to be fair and a compromise instead of just forcing his decision on everybody.

Susannah Rhodes does get into trouble a lot. She has come home to help her father win another term as Governor. She also has a second part that she wants to keep from her father till after the election. She is not home an hour when she gets into trouble the first time. She cares about animals, and organic gardening.

Governor Rhodes is glad that his daughter wants to come home to help him win. He knows that trouble follows her. He plans on leaving on three week around the state. He decides when his daughter does not want full security at least to have cop keeping her safe and stay with her for three months.

Susannah at 15 had a crush on senior footballer Boone and kissed him that left him stunned.

I liked the book. I wish my garden was as well as Susannah's.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review of it.
