This was a fascinating and surprisingly touching book about long term marriage. It was written by a historian slash marriage counselor which in my opinion is the perfect combination for writing interesting books about history. This wasn't a political book, it was a personal one, and your view of Richard Nixon might change.

Extremely interesting account of Joe Kennedy Sr.'s tenure as Ambassador to the Court of St. James's. The press went wild for the large family, especially the nine children Kennedy set loose to conquer British society, and conquer it they did. The book explores the relationships between the elder Kennedy and FDR, as well as his relationship with Neville Chamberlain.

I thoroughly enjoyed this detailed account of the powerful impact of the friendship of these four people during pre & post WWII. The gifts that each offered the world left me so inspired. It truly is a moving book with detailed focus on their humanity, rather like the drifting of majestic clouds to reveal the interactions, emotions, the inner being of each person: FDR, Eleanor, King George, and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother
