An award-winning high school soccer star, Leah Weiczynkowski, has goals of joining the United States of America Olympic Soccer team. With her strong dedication and passion of the game, she has everything going for her. She runs, juggles, works on shooting, and workout with her good friend Clay. Clay truly cares about Leah and is shows towards the end of the story.
After Leah’s greatest week of her life at ODP soccer camp, she receives life-turning news. Her dad explains that he has pancreatic cancer and has three months to live. As any teenager would do, she cuts herself off from the world to stay by her father’s side. Will her prayers save her dad? Should she keep her goal to play soccer, because that’s what her dad would want? Or Focus on a more community service type job?
I really liked this book because of the soccer aspect of it. Soccer is my life so I could totally relate to Leah. If you’re a soccer lover, this book is for you!
