I received a free copy of this galley from NetGally in exchange for an honest review.

Picking up this book without having read the previous books in the series, it took me a few chapters to settling in to the character interaction. It was surprisingly easy, however, to settle into the characters and I did not feel that I was missing anything as I read.

This is a fun story full of adventure and interesting plot devices. The characters are true to themselves throughout the book which I consider great and it contained enough humor to keep the story light. I think it's worth picking up the first few books to see what I missed.… (plus d'informations)

Honestly, I was expecting a lot more after reading The Ratastrophe Catastophe. Unfortunately, The Yowler Foul-Up kind of fell flat for me. Most of the humor left me unamused, and the plot seemed poorly put together. In the beginning, there were so many characters with somewhat similar names that I got very confused and kind of just coasted through the story for the first half of the book. I didn't actually get interested until about two thirds of the way through, and at the point it did get rather exciting. The ending battle was fun and the very last chapter, though predictable, at least had me smiling.

I'll continue to read the series, but I wasn't overly impressed with this one.

eh, actually kinda boring retelling of the pied piper of Hamelin...some entertaining aspects, but overall not top tier at all...

This series is one of the best MG tales that I've read. Great for adults and kids. Hilarious.
