A single map listing all the geographic names, regardless of when they came into existence, would be really helpful.

A book with a narrow focus: the Japanese siege of Tsingtau. Tsingtau was besiged by the Japanese in the early days of WWI. This area was Imperial Germany's foothold in China. Japan, however, was interested in gaining its own foothold as well as acquiring Germany's territories in the Pacific. The book is an interesting read and relativly short given the limited scope. Worth a look if you are interested in WWI, the role Japan played in that conflict and how this action contributed to the later developments in WWII. Recommend.… (plus d'informations)

Kummaline teos.

Not much to say, an overview of the Ottoman-Italian War of 1911-1912. Has a good grasp of the major players in both nations and the disposition of forces (a little shaky on the Ottoman side but they were fighting a guerilla war so this is bound to be the case).

Good use of primary sources and quite a few photos. The maps aren't great but they're good enough to tell the gist of the story.

A short but solid read.
