What impressed me the most about this fine biography were the intellectual pursuits of Steward. The breadth of his knowledge mirrors the breadth of his experience in the nether world of alternative gay sex. Ultimately the author provides details and weaves them together elegantly that brings out the fascinating character that was Samuel Steward. Or should I say multiple characters, as he changed directions several times in his life. Especially interesting was his friendship with Gertrude Stein and his association with Alfred Kinsey.… (plus d'informations)

Surprisingly good, though it could use a couple of veg recipes. Absolutely worth getting from a library, even if your kitchen is only small.

There was not one single moment where I was prepared for all the things that happened during this man's life.

Instructive, loving and entertaining.

I believe that this is a most entertaining, well researched, addition to the collection of any fan of even one of these authors. Mind you; this by someone who has read all six of them, basically learned to cook from Julia Child, cooked entire menus from Richard Olney etc.I am not what you would call objective.
