Very brief - almost more like reading a long article than reading a book - but interesting overview of the story of two young men of an African slaving family who were themselves captured, sold into slavery, and eventually freed. I'd definitely like to know more about them.

The Two Princes in question provide an interesting case from the Atlantic slave trade; they were African slave traders themselves but were captured and taken to the Americas and then to Britain during the late 1760s and early '70s. The book provides both an account of their journey and how it fits into the trans-Atlantic trade and British abolitionist efforts at that time. It's a fascinating case study, and at around 150 pages of easily-understood writing it's also a pretty quick and informative read.… (plus d'informations)
