The protagonist is a wife and mother of two teens and is seeking therapy for having a delusional disorder. She sits in a park and a man comes to her taking about her current book. They fall in love quickly. However, it turns out he is married.
The therapist tells her that he is a manifestation of her delusions but is he really?
See, what happens on this wild ride that ends with a brilliant twist!

The story takes place at Villa Magda. Kate grew up there with her sister Lacie and her mom and dad. However, Lacie mysteriously disappeared as a young teenager, and it ripped their family apart.

Flash forward to present day and Kate has just found out she has inherited Villa Magda after her mom dies suddenly. Although 18 years have passed since Lacie disappeared, Kate has blocked almost all memories of her sister and her time growing up there. Now, along with her husband, teenage son, and her best friend and husband, she is ready to return to her family home and face her past.

But when strange things begin happening, locals blame her and a body is later found on the grounds of the house, Kate is faced with every secret being revealed.

I just love Gothic novels and was so excited to get a copy of "Lacie’s Secrets" through the Early Reviewers' program. Any book with a creepy mansion just has to be a good read - what better setting for a creepy psychologicval thriller. "Lacie's Secrets" did not disappoint.

When Kate Williams’ mother dies unexpectedly she inherits Villa Magda, a beautiful mansion off the coast of Maine. It has been eighteen years since Kate's sister Lacie went missing and Kate isn't looking forward to returning to Villa Magda. The authors, Holmqvist and Sorkin, tell Kate and Lacie's story through flashbacks, and as the story unfolds, the more sinister Villa Magda becomes.story is peeled through flash backs, the more sinister Villa Magda becomes. A dead body and buried secrets soon come to light and it is impossible to put this book down. A perfect summer beach read.… (plus d'informations)
