What an amazing book about such an awesome tree. I got this book for my nephew and he can't stop talking about the bristlecone tree. We'll have to plan a trip one of these days to see it. We loved the pictures and seeing all the different animals that live around these ancient trees.

I absolutely love this book. I may be a little biased because I love learning about space, but I think this book is interesting to read. It has creative subheadings and chapter names, it is filled with awesome information on planets and their moons, and has many different captivating pictures of our solar system and space beyond our reach. It does a great job of explaining what the Voyager probes are and what their purpose is. It was reading books like this that got me so interested in space, as a kid. I think it's important to show kids that there are worlds beyond our own in the seemingly infinite vastness of space. This will definitely be a part of my future classroom as I want kids to become inspired and fascinated by all the things that the universe has to offer.… (plus d'informations)

Are bugs heroes, villains, or just creepy little animals? Alexandra Siy presents "rap sheets" on several categories of bugs and takes an amazingly close look at some of the types of insects we see every day (and some we don't), The book's photo micrographs magnify insect parts from 10 to 300,000 times their actual sizes. The result is an entertaining and clever way to introduce kids to biology and science. The writing is good, and the text is kid friendly.

The theme is hit records, since when Voyager left, it was the 70s. Probably a fun book, full of interesting stuff, but pop music isn't my thing.
