She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska & received her BA from Stanford & her MA from the University of Wisconsin. She has taught learning-disabled children in Wisconsin & Alaska. Marcia spent several years living on her boat in the harbor of a small fishing village in southeast Alaska, teaching at the afficher plus public school & accumulating the stories of the fishermen & their families. She currently lives on Lopez Island, Washington, sharing sailing adventures with her husband aboard their elderly wooden ketch. (Bowker Author Biography) afficher moins

Wonderful setting, interesting characters, lots of action!
Very evocative of life in coastal Alaska. Full of the usual eccentrics. A hard but interesting life.
Something is disturbing the whales -- human greed strikes again. Now if they would only talk to each other and learn how to make a time line....
OK as murder mysteries go, but do the characters really have to repeat twice each action in their dialogs?
