It's difficult to know whether to rate books like this based on the story or on the adaptation. I gave the original book 4 stars and liked some aspects of this book better. It does a great job of cutting through the old-fashioned language and getting to the heart of the story. In this case, "telling" instead of "showing" both shortens the length of the story and explains what might otherwise be difficult for younger readers to comprehend or follow.

However, I had some issues with feeling like the book left something out now and then. A couple of times, the text seemed to refer to something that hadn't been explained in the first place. I could remember a certain conversation, if vaguely, from my reading of the original book, but it seemed to have been missing from the adaptation. For that reason, I gave the adaptation 4 stars. Overall, I like the idea of this overall story, but it just seems a little too...I don't know, maybe bloated? for me. Still, I do think this adaptation more than adequately makes the classic accessible and would recommend this book for children around 8-12, with the extra note that with younger kids, it might be helpful (and enjoyable) to read it with a parent or older sibling/friend.… (plus d'informations)

In this book, Austen explain every girl's inside's world very well.

She describes Jane's simply love to Bingley just like what every girl will do. Every girl waiting for the day of their prince come to marry them, but they don't want to lost their proud at the same time. When girls feels be abandon, they pretend they don't care about and have forget the man who abandoned them already.But actually in deep of their heart, they are still waiting for their prince come back to find them.Jane is lucky, Mr.Bingley do really love she and doesn't care about her family background at that time. He is back . And I guess everyone will know what happen next.

Elizabeth is a comeplex character in this book. She has her own way of thinking and she loves her sisters.The love story about Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy is tortuous. She misjudged Mr.Darcy at first and listen to Mr.Wickham's slander about Mr.Darcy. What will happen to this two lovers? Austen will tell.

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice perplexed me with its themes of love, romance, betrayal, misjudgement and much more.

Pride and Prejudice is about Elizabeth Bennet and her adventures with her 4 sisters and romance. Elizabeth's eldest sister Jane falls in love with a wealthy,intelligent and charming man named Mr.Bingley. Everyone in the Bennet family approves fo the eldest's love except for Caroline Bingley, Mr.Bingley's sister who would rather see him married of to his best friend Mr.Darcy's sister and herself to Mr.Darcy. During the story, Mr.Darcy finds himself falling in love with Elizabeth but he knows that Elizabeth loathes him. It's up to Elizabeth to unite her sister with Mr.Bingley and see what her true feelings toward Mr.Darcy really are.

This book was very touching and romantic and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. This book has many themes to it such as love, family, pride and prejudice.
Love is a theme because this whole story is based on the love between Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth, and also how Elizabeth tries to save the love between her sister,Jane and Darcy's best friend Mr. Bingley. Love is mainly what is portrayed in this whole story, wether it is toward family, friends or the man whom you are going to marry.
Family is also a theme because even though Elizabeth could be running off with a soldier herself or agreeing to Darcy's proposal, she stuck by her family because that's what mattered most to her.
Pride is obviously a theme as it is clearly stated in the title. It is a theme because Mr.Darcy had pride that was unstandable to Elizabeth. His pride got the best of him, which he portrayed at their first meeting, which caused Elizabeth to strongly dislike him.
Prejudice is also a theme in this book because Elizabeth was strongly prejudiced against Darcy before she could personally encounter him and get to know him better.Though, I believe that Elizabeth would not have been so prejudiced if Darcy had not showed his pride the first time he met her.

I would rate this book with 4 stars because it was witty, romantic, and funny all in one. I loved the characters in the book. They personalities of the characters made the book fun and interesting to read. Also because it was written in modern day English.
In my opinion, I thought that this book was really interesting and fun to read because it was funny but at the same time serious. I loved the fact that Elizabeth ended up with the person she disliked the most and in my perspective, that is what I call true love and a happy ending.… (plus d'informations)
