Beautifully written

This is a great story, well written and very easy to get into. I really enjoyed walking along side Olivia. She's a very strong character and you can really sympathize with her and the others. I'm looking forward to following this series.

Being the story of the Garden State during the Civil War, as told through contemporary accounts, chiefly taken from the press. This is a good idea which isn't carried out well enough to raise the book above the level of the curate's egg. The chapters on the home front and POW life are fascinating, but for the most part the rest of the book consists of combat narratives, which are repetitive and monotonous.

Olivia Hart was a shy high school student. She was unlike her brother that graduated before her. He was well liked, popular and enjoyed attention. That was until Olivia found a necklace that would uncover her gift and a secret world that only a few were apart of, making her one of the most beloved students. Olivia had to deal with more than just an ex and his very angry girlfriend. People are not always who they seem in THE CHARM.

I enjoyed this story and wished it was around when I was in school. I am glad to have found it now and am looking forward to reading volume two. The book was not very long, but full of exciting information and packed with detail to satisfy your imagination. A great read recommended for teens and above. This book was received for the purpose of an honest review.
