Didn't expect that
I enjoyed this book but not as much as the first and not because it was bad, I just felt the sexual tension between Ashamed and Sax was just a tad much. But the book delivered romance, love, action and everything I love reading.

Stupidest book ever.
So...I escape from a guy that kidnapped me from my apartment and accidentally run into his evil government counterpart--after escaping from him, what do I do? I go back to my apartment, call my dad and pass out from exhaustion.

I liked this book but man it sure was a slog to get thru. I do enjoy this series but each book does kind of have that moment where I’m like “this could be 100 pages shorter”

I love retellings, they are always so much more exciting then the original fairy tales. Gena really took this one into a whole another dimension sort of speak and wonderfully crafted a fairytale not made for the faint of hearts. Love, loved it!
