The particular value of this booklet is that the author bridges the gap between the programs of the Weimar period (for which there was never enough resources) and the desperate improvisations of 1944-45 (for which there were never enough men to make function).

While one might wish for more details on the various HQ complexes the particular value of this booklet is to illustrate the scale of resources that went into these constructions and the amount of time that Hitler resided at these various facilities.

This appears to be a good overview of the Soviet "fortified regions," with particular emphasis on how the shifting of these regions west after the 1939 Russo-German partition of Poland undermined what utility these defenses might of had.
