I liked this book for two reasons. First, I liked how it was pretty different from most children's books for three reasons: it chose numbers where most books are on the alphabet, it counted backwards, and it did not rhyme. It had a Laura Numeroff style when it repeated the if/then statements that she is famous for using. For example, "but if you just mean to paint the ceiling and there isn't a ladder to be found, then the right number of elephants is..." I also liked how the book was paced. It starts off crazy with all ten elephants and then slows down to a calm with only one elephant. The main idea of this book was to teach number recognition.… (plus d'informations)
