This book caught my eye because of the cover art featuring health and beauty supplies organized in rainbow order, and I bought it on impulse thinking it would be full of helpful information (not having seen the Netflix show nor even having heard of The Home Edit before). It had *some* helpful information, lots of pretty organized closets belonging to celebrities, and what felt like a good bit of wasted space (quizzes, personal preference lists, etc.). It’s almost more of a coffee table/photography book than a detailed how-to. I did get some good ideas from it, but it fell short of my expectations. Similar to The Home Edit show (which I'm obsessed with), this book shows off celebrities' huge and beautifully organized kitchens, pantries, closets, etc., and Clea & Joanna share organizing tips to maximize space and display items. There is so much organization p0rn, y'all. I love the book and its rainbow pages, and Clea & Joanna are a delight. My only wish is that they had clearly outlined and depicted exactly the kinds of canisters, boxes, storage organizers, etc. they used, with ideas of how to use each one. If it weren't for the TV show where they show you how they organize rooms, as well as THE's Instagram account which does the same thing, this would be a major drawback for me. This book gets a half star more than its sequel because most of the pictures include a list of items used for containing. I also love the included labels!
