When I saw the cover I had to flip through this title and see all the colorful, creative hand lettered alphabets. The were inspiring and beautiful but more than I was inspired to do. I did get a few ideas to help with the simple projects that I was currently doing. There is another title by this author that I think might be more useful for my needs -- The Art of Whimsical Lettering.

Interesting book - just not what I needed.

There's an illustration in this book that reads "even if you can't draw you can do this." Sold! The book contains 55 lettering styles that range from the adorable to the formal and it includes a list of supplies you may want to use, an introduction to the basic techniques as taught through the lettering, and plenty of encouragement to relax, use your own handwriting as a basis, and create. #ArtfulAlphabets #NetGalley
