Darren Shan was born in 1972 in London. At the age of 6 he moved with his parents and younger brother, to Limerick, Ireland, where he has lived ever since. Darren saw first literary success at age 15, as a runner-up in a television script-writing competition with a dark comedy titled A Day in the afficher plus Morgue. He was 17 when he finished his first novel. Although it was never published, he found himself focusing more on novels than on short stories. In January 2000, Darren's first children's book, Cirque du Freak was published. The first book in a series titled The Saga of Darren Shan, or Cirque du Freak, as it's known in America, received rave reviews. His books have been children's bestsellers in America, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and other countries. In addition to his children's books he writes for adults as well and has had several adult books published including Procession of the Dead, Hell's Horizon, and City of the Snakes. Vampire Mountain (Cirque Du Freak, #4) par Darren Shan

This is a 3.5 read for Me. I was told My reviews are better without a summery so I am going to try this without summarizing. I am enjoying this series on a few points. 1 I like the growing bond that is going on between Darren and Mr. Crepsley. or as I like to call him Mr. Crapsley. -smirks-
I am also enjoying the unfolding story of all the supporting characters of this book. I just hope that the pace of the next book is as quick as this was. Trials of death is on My to read list I may even start tonight!… (plus d'informations)

The Vampire's Assistant (Cirque du Freak, #2)

this is the second book I have read from this series. I enjoyed it and i really am shocked I am enjoyng them I have a friend who is reading this with me is making it much more fun!

A Living Nightmare (Cirque Du Freak, #1) par Darren Shan

just finished this book. after months of being told I need to read this series. I finally decided to give in and give it a chance. I read it with a friend which made it much more enjoyable with the added inflection of funny voices and funny commentary. I want to start off by saying I cheated because I have seen this movie. that being said this was nothing like the film, I have this reaction to books quiet often though i tend to prefer books to movies I guess my imagination is better then what the producers and the directors come up with. this is a 3.5 star read for Me. one because I loved the dialogue two because the imagery of the writers makes me want to continue just to see what happens next. last but not least as morbid as this may sound I want steve the vampire hunter to get ruffed up some in the next book because his outbursts were amusing!… (plus d'informations)
