David Shahar (1926–1997)
Auteur de L’agent de sa majesté
A propos de l'auteur
A fifth-generation native of Israel, Shahar is rooted in the sights and sounds of Jerusalem. Few writers can capture as well the multiple ethnicity of the inhabitants of that ancient city. As a writer he is compelling. He has published 15 books, 5 of which have appeared in English or French afficher plus translation. Shahar received the coveted Prix Medicis for the best foreign literature of the year in 1981 for Day of the Countess, the third volume in his trilogy The Palace of Shattered Vessels.
