Here's the problem. Instead of one book, this should have been two books. There should be more character development. And there needs to be more research into how an FBI agent in the field would act. If this were broken into two books, and more attention were paid to each book in those areas, I'm sure they would have been great books. As is, however, I found myself getting annoyed at what I know to be unprofessional and unnecessary situations that the characters were in that, really, had nothing to do with the story and were supposed to provide character development, but did not at all.
And, by the way, there is only one serial killer, so the title is misleading as well. The first half of the book deals with a single serial killer, and was extremely anti-climatic, and the second half is basically political commentary on whistleblowers. Methinks that the author is sympathetic toward Edward Snowden and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. That's not a bad thing, but it doesn't make for great reading.… (plus d'informations)
