In Drawn To Murder: A Gabriella Alegré Mystery, writer Bob Seay accomplishes all three. In fact, his wonderful ability to flesh out characters that are unique and make them come alive for his readers is way above average, in my opinion.
The mystery is good because it has all the right elements that kept me intrigued and guessing. But even without the mystery, I would have stayed in this story because the setting and characters are so well portrayed that I enjoyed every moment I spent with the Buskers on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado.
Gabriella is an artist who makes her living painting portraits of those who visit Pearl street and pass by her cart. She’s intuitive and has a great eye for detail which helps when she and several other Buskers decide to try to solve the murder of another street performer.
I’m giving this book 4 stars because it’s definitely going on my Good Read Shelf. And I’ll be anticipating the next book in this series.
