An excellent novel portaying most facets of the daily operation of this World wide charity through the eyes of a typical family of this movement in the first half of the 20th century in the United States of America. The book is a very easy read and can be recommended to anyone requiring a reasonably accurate example of the conditions existing in both Corps & Harbor Light centres during the period in which is is written.
