Martin Jerome Scott (1865–1964)

This obscure book is a very readable and concise overview of sexual morality. It was written in 1930, but the societal problems discussed have only worsened since the author's time. It is as though it was written yesterday, except for when he gives numbers to show just how bad, say, the problem of divorce is. Divorce rates are twice as high now. Still, other than dated language and statistics, this is a very relevant book.

49. The Altar Boys of St. John's by Martin J. Scott, S.J.(read in 1939) I think I read this when I was in fifth grade, and remember I liked it well enough. But I have no post-reading note so I can't be sure what I thought of it.
