Personally. I think the rise in "that other book" was in part due to the rise of e-readers and apps that allows people to read "mommy porn" incognito, without shame. Interesting read that gives the reader both sides of the BDSM world. As with most things in life there is a big difference between then and now. Sadly, I'm reading this book during the time that porn star James Deen is alleged of raping women and ignoring the safe words. This is a media sensation because it feeds the way people view porn and BDSM and that is saad. The book deals a lot with group settings and I think that is a small number of the people compared to those enjoying and involved with BDSM lifestyle in their bedrooms.… (plus d'informations)

An interesting read. When I think of kinks in general and my own personal kinks, I don't apply politics to it. I think people are too sensitive in general and probably over analyze the statement their sexuality or kink is making. That being said, the essays regarding kink in the media are completely fascinating. This is how the general public perceives BDSM. And it isn't thought well of, unless of course it is two women and they are both conventionally attractive. An interesting read and a good add to my library.… (plus d'informations)
