Critique of Genre: This is a very simple informational book because it has big pictures and few words to let kids know things they can do to prevent harm coming to them.
Theme: The common theme throughout the book is about promoting awareness to children about things they should do before an action so they will stay out of harms way. It has a "look before you leap" message behind it.
