One Nation Undecided: Clear Thinking about Five Hard… par Peter H. Schuck

Very clear discussion of five contentious issues in US politics: poverty, immigration, campaign finance, affirmative action, and religious exemptions. From a very centrist POV, with the history (political and legal) that got us there - and why all these issues are pretty stalemated. Great for seeing both sides of the issues, but no magic solutions and for that matter not terribly optimistic. I wish there had been some sense of humor but the author is very serious and dry.
