A lot of fun rhymes and plays on words, my favorite being "leak it to beaver." I like the the big text and the clear illustrations. A great book for a big story time audience, even if it's no one's birthday.

A hilarious book that encourages children about the proper care of library books. The children will giggle, but librarians and biblophiles will laugh uproariously! Excellent for reading to preschool and kindergarten children getting their first introduction to the library.

I really enjoyed this book. It teaches children how to take care of library books and the "do's and dont's." It is also written very simply and also nicely so that the children can understand the point of the story while also learning it in a fun way. This would be a great book to read to young kids who are just starting school so the teachers can inform them on what they should and should not do. Th rhymes and creative pictures really give it a fun twist!

Before reading this book I had no idea it was a happy birthday book. It didn't really have a moral to the story. This was a really cute book with great illustrations for preschool students. If a teacher was to choose this book to read to the class, she should know it is someone's birthday. The book is about a bear telling a secret to different animals and then wishes the reader a happy birthday in the end.
