The book leaps ahead to the present where a monk, Brother Victor,enters a small monestary in rural Tenn. Here Victor begins his quest with lust, hate and Victor's twisted version of love.

Second in a series. This one has the vampire Victor creating a thrall out of illustrator Paul. Paul is in Rome illuminating a had done verison of the Bible. Slowly but surely the pair fall in love.

Third in a series. This one has the two lovers breaking a rule where one must go to the dark kingdom and the other can join in 200 years.

Ooo this book is naughty! It has a roman soldier/vampire in love (lust really, heavy lust, with heavy breathing and heavy hands) with Jesus Christ. And then he kills like everyone, blah blah blah. But I still didn't think it was all the good, to be honest, despite sounds OMG so awesome.
