Especially when things have gone wrong, military leaders have a tendency to write their memoirs to give their version of the story, and usually to show they were right about a lot of things. Corap, happened to be straight in the path of the German armoured thrust in 1940, and has been much blamed for the breakthrough that sealed the fate of the French army.
He never wrote his memoirs, so we'll never know how critical he would be of his actions. However it doubtful that these would be as partisan as this biography.
