The Goddess Experience is an indulgent treat, and the perfect girlie book, filled with beauty and fashion insider tips.

This book opens with Giséle asking you to post a 'happy list'. The happy list focuses on the simple pleasures in life, while Giséle also spills the beans on her favourite indulgent treats.

Besides fashion, beauty and food, the book also contains a travel section, and an invaluable guide to packing the perfect flight kit which gets a special mention from me, as it's something I always get wrong! I loved the 'city guides' section of the book. Here you can find out where to stay, eat , shop and play in Berlin, Dublin, London, Paris, NYC and Sydney.

This book is a great go-to book if you are in need of beauty tips, or have a wardrobe dilemma, and is the perfect gift for any girlie girl. It is also probably the prettiest book I have ever seen, and is beautifully illustrated throughout.… (plus d'informations)

Pretty cover, and I wish I had the money to sustain her lifestyle, I don't. I can't just jet off to Paris, London or New York when the whim takes me and stock up on favourites, often she doesn't even offer substitutes that are cheaper.

In some ways this also fails because it tries to be all things to all people. Without her lifestyle you couldn't do what she does. It's nice occasionally to see mention of Dublin but it's also a bit annoying that that's the only city mentioned in Ireland, excepting her home town.

It is comprehensive and if you did want to take some of her examples you could find out how she does it and where to get these things but you'll pay for it and even if I'm relatively well paid I couldn't afford a lot of it. I have a sneaking suspicion from some of her mentions that as she's a journalist she doesn't always pay for it either.

She interviews a number of interesting people but it's quite superficial, as you would expect from a book that's so packed with information. On the other hand some of the pages are actually not that legible.… (plus d'informations)
