Sandman

The Sandman, a noted radio host and comedian on JJJ, is a master of ironically selling often dubious social adaptations. Often plausible, some of his methods for fitting in are quite ridiculous. If comedy is truth+pain, The Sandman has a winning formula when it comes to social awkwardness. He is a master of the understatement and somehow manages to capture the essence of Australian beach culture from the periphery. A misfit, his desire to please seems to incapsulate Australia's distorted view of itself, and view of the gods of surfer rebellion as they come to an arrangement with the banal citizens of the urban coastline. The Sandman is like a successful Amway salesman, only instead of selling shampoo and tupperware, he is selling inventive, counterintuitive and deeply flawed techniques for social acceptance, and lets face it, we all want to fit in.… (plus d'informations)
