Approval Junkie: Adventures in Caring Too Much par Faith Salie
I'm giving this a 3 because I feel like the title was misleading. it ended up being a memoir directed towards moms, moms to be than people seeking approval or looking for funny stories about being a people pleaser. I liked some of the chapters and found faith salie to give a lot of good advice but I feel like the title should be changed and there should be a different target audience. that being said I probably wouldn't have read it.

2.5 stars. This has to be it for me on memoir narrated by the author for a while. I like Salie as a panelist on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. I didn't get a lot out of this book.

Review of the Audible Original audiobook edition (March 3, 2022) narrated by the author, based on her memoir "Approval Junkie: My Heartfelt (and Occasionally Inappropriate) Quest to Please Just about Everyone, and Ultimately Myself" (2016)
This was the lightest of the recent March 2022 batch of Audible Theater releases. I didn't know the narrator's work previously, but she certainly was an enthusiastic performer of what is basically a stand-up routine adaptation of her own biography / memoir. The recorded performance comes from the show's November to December 2021 run at Audible's Minetta Lane Theater in New York City.
