I received this copy via a Goodreads giveaway. What an utter blessing to me! This book was carefully planned from beginning to end. It had so many layers in the story. Evangeline is unfairly sent to prison by an officer named Chris, who ends up getting her released early, striving to help her get her life back, and becomes her love interest. Evangeline shows her strength in surviving when her whole family unfairly despises her. Evangeline shows her strength in receiving everyone's burdens as her own to have this most resourceful brain to come up with plans to help out. I don't want to give a lot of this story away. It is worth the read. The romance is great and believable. It was also nice to read the summary of the story written by the author herself, Jennifer Ryan, as well as her thoughts and how she created this wonderful plot that is satisfying and suspenseful until the very last word. It's the kind of book you can read, smile to yourself, and be ready to go to bed with sweet dreams (and not just because of the romance!) I was interested in discovering that Jennifer Ryan was a stay at home mom. Not that I don't respect that, because I personally did that nearly as much as I had worked in my whole work history, BUT I had to wonder if Evangeline was written to reflect herself, a woman who is highly underestimated on her capabilities. I thought all the business plans that Evangeline contrived, and all the jobs she handled at the same time were genius! This is not a fluff story romance. I think that both men and women will enjoy it as is. I do have to say that I felt a kinship with Evangeline. I felt like I have suffered many "scars" of life. I think I have had multiple people dump their problems in my lap and in the past, have tried to solve them all. It burned me out and made me ill, so now I am more selective when people come my way trying to throw responsibility on me. But Evangeline is my hero! Read the book!… (plus d'informations)

First Impressions
Falling For Owen is the second book in the "McBrides" series and I am slowly making my way throughout this author's backlist and truly loving it. While this series isn't perfect, its full of home and family and thrilling suspense tension that only this author delivers so well. There is such a wonderful feeling when I pick up a Jennifer Ryan, its almost like a warm hug. There is such a great family bond that this family has and I loved seeing a hero who was once a bad boy become so model in society and has such a good heart. Seeing him working as a lawyer and rancher was unique and I just adored Owen to my heart and soul. He is the type of hero you want in real life. Just solid and true and loyal to a fault. This book is a romantic suspense mixed in with small town feels with a fabulous plot that keeps you on your toes.

First Line
Dale hid between two buildings, watching his wife and her cocky lawyer walk down the steps from his office.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Owen McBride
Reformed Bad Boy, Lawyer, Rancher, Honest and Loyal

The Heroine: Claire Walsh
Claire, business owner and runs a bakery and coffee shop. Mistrustful of men. Strong and independent with a bit of willful tossed in.

Summary
When Claire is attacked one night, being caught in the crossfire between Dale and Owen McBride, Owen and his family come to her rescue and become her champions. Claire is used to being independent and has never had anyone to truly trust in male form, and she doesn't know how to trust Owen. But when he becomes her protector with honest intentions, she can't help but want to fall under his umbrella of protection and wanting to give into the chemistry that is exploding between them. But her past has taught her not to trust others. Owen has worked hard to redeem himself from his dark past and find his place in the only home he has ever known. He is naturally protective and wants to shielf Claire from the danger she is in as she has now become the target of a stalker. But is it Owen or Claire the target and is there enemy the obvious choice or will the culprit be someone they won't expect?

What I Loved
What I truly adore about Jennifer Ryan is the way that she writes a good mystery. Most times you can't guess the true villain. And even though I had a feeling on who the true villain would be, it was also very grey wondering if this individual was the true villain or not and until it happens you just are on the fence about it. And how the third act evolves...well it packs such a punch. It kept me on the edge of my seat seeing the events unravel as it does. I truly adored the plot side of the story. Its the strongest level of the story.

Now as for the romance, this was a bit more of a struggle for me. It felt a bit too rushed for me. And its possible it was just my mood or I just wasn't quite connecting with the relationship as I would have liked to, but it felt way too quick and I felt like this couple should have had more page time than they had to make their relationship more believable. Not to say its badly done, because it really isn't. I just feel like we should have seen them together just a bit more to really see that connection more strongly.

Then we have the family connections that we get to see within this one. I just loved seeing Owen with his cousin and brother. They just make such a great team and loved their friendship and family bonds. The way they just instantly support each other instantly endears the reader and you just want to see them together more often. It delivers on all the warm fuzzies.

Overall View
Falling For Owen was a brilliant story that melted my heart with poignant chemistry, a suspense plot to keep the reader on edge and all the heart you could ask for and more!

Introduction
Max Wilde’s Cowboy Heart is the third installment in the series, and I am pretty sure its just a trilogy so this is the finale, but we did get hints for the next series or at least I am crossing my fingers on that. I have to say that this book is my favorite of the trilogy actually. I absolutely loved this one so dearly. In fact, once I picked this one, I couldn’t put it down. I was so gravitated towards this book and I became so easily immersed into this novel. This author definitely did some magic wonder with this one here. I will say that I adored this one in every way. She definitely delivered a kick ass romance to finish off the trilogy while also giving her readers teasers for upcoming books. And I am not going to lie, this book will tear your heart out! Its full of so much heartfelt emotion, and I loved every single moment that we get with this one here. This romance is a second chance and the type of second chance where a couple deserves to find their way back to each other while also there being lots of danger surrounding them as well.

Summary
The story starts off with our heroine, Kenna Baker. Max Wilde and Kenna were once sweetheart and had a epic love but then something tore them apart out of a misunderstanding. Now its been years later, and Kenna is a local teacher and working on moving on with her life even though her heart will always belong to Max Wilde. But when her brother disappears with a message that he is on the run from someone, she doesn’t think much of it until she comes home from a date, her home ransacked, and her date murdered right in front of her trying to protect her. Now she has a target on her back, her brother is on the run from criminals and FBI, and she is forced to be living in the same home as Max Wilde when his brother tries to do some matchmaking and with her life in danger, there is little that Max or Kenna can do about it. While trying to figure out what her brother is up to and who is behind everything, Max and Kenna are forced to hash out the past and come to terms with what happened and find a way to come back together as the truth becomes reveals fully to them and they rediscover a love for each other that never died…

My Outlook
My heart…this story delivered everything for me and more! This is probably one of the best books by this author I have read in a while. I am not sure exactly what it was about this book but everything in it just clicked perfectly for me. From the beginning I was hooked into this story and I just couldn’t put it down. But also the story had me in ALL of my feels and I was so swept away by this romance and all the emotion that was so smoothly delivered on this one here. I was cheering on Max and Kenna all the way through. You just know from the beginning that there is so much more to the story because they each blame themselves for the breakup when it was so much more than that. And once the truth of what really happened comes to the surface, my heart broke for these two. Throughout the trilogy we have known what a beautiful love story these two have had and seeing them finally get their justly HEA was so satisfying. I adored seeing them lay everything out on the table and really embrace what they have together.

Now as for the plot of the story, there is actually so much happening in this book and my heart really broke for the heroine. We have the plot happening with her brother who discovered something he shouldn’t have, and hid it away because it could be dangerous for ANYONE to actually have possession of. And then we have the trauma that Kenna faces losing a good friend but also having to be a prisoner on the Wilde ranch while the FBI tries to find her brother and the ones hunting him. The ending really tore me up but I wonder if the author has plans for the brother? I am kinda hoping she finds a way to bring him a HEA, it might be we never learn about what truly happens with him but I am kinda hoping this isn’t the last time we see him. Then we also have a teaser with the Wilde’s cousin as there seemed to be something between her and the MC biker, and I am like going to explode because is this author going to do a MC themed series or something? Because I would be completely down for that.

Overall View
I found Max Wilde’s Cowboy Heart to be a heart wrenching romance that delivers on the country charm atmosphere, the fierce family bonds, a epic love story that deserves a happy ending and enough heart to satisfy any romantic reader! UTTERLY SATISFYING!
