Not the most riveting tale, but still entertaining enough for a bedtime story over the course of a few days read to my nine-year-old daughter who's reading well above her grade level, but is still willing to humor her dad.

The story is of an old muskrat that survives a fire which wipes out the rest of the muskrat population in his area. He goes on a search downstream over the course of a year and runs into plenty of trials and tribulations.
