I love the look and the feel of the book. The size is just right and the paper weight made everything feel right in my hands.
However, I tried several times to read the book -- to finish the book -- and I just couldn't do it. The main characters are in the fifth grade -- but the writing and word use seems to be targeting a younger audience -- maybe that of 3rd graders. There was inclusion of lots of sound words -- like clatter, clank, etc. that supported my impression that the book would appeal to a younger audience. Then there were odd jokes and strange conversations and I just stopped. I didn't even really get to the STEM part of the book.… (plus d'informations)
