1,2, 3, Who's Cleaning the Sea is a cute counting book for children that is environmentally friendly!

This book uses cleaning the ocean of cotton buds, cups and other garbage as a teaching tool. The pictures are very blue and well drawn as well! I like that this unique idea is being used for a picture book. It's nice to see something to prominent like cleaning the ocean (and our environment) in a book like this! Why not kill two birds with one stone?

I did think it was a tad bit cheesey, but it's a children's book so it's expected. The important message of cleaning the world together and recycling really tied the book up too!

I'd definitely recommend reading this as a picture book to your youngings. It's a sweet little picture book that has a really strong and important message. Be a hero, not a zero!

Clever animals of the sea help each other by cleaning plastics and trash that is polluting their ocean home.

Simple verses and detailed art help make a sweet and motivating story of life helping life. Animals making there home a better place by getting rid of the plastics and trash us humans have unfortunately left. This book teaches various themes like counting, how to be neat and to be kind to the living world.

Our environment needs help not just the animals but the land and aquatic areas too. Yes, this book may have the animals of the sea cleaning our mess which is probably unrealistic and silly but the feeling is there. The message of the book is that one voice can start a movement but more than one can make that change happen. At least that is what I take from it.

Part of the “informational children’s picture book” genre gaining popularity, this counting book with ocean-saving message will be a big hit with young listeners/readers. Making learning about complicated issues fun is the goal, and, with a clever rhyming scheme and pictures that pop, this one does an outstanding job! The title as question and making sea creatures the cleanup crew join to teach about counting, about both sea creatures and plastic debris, and the book ends with what humans can do. Packing this triple whammy in a lilting rhythm means it’s bound to be a favorite of parents, teachers—and kids! A delight to read (scans perfectly!), engaging to look at, it’s an all-around top-notch new kidlit book!
