Frank Xavier Ross (1914–1998)

This is an interesting book, but probably not something I would keep in a K-2 classroom. The book explains the Chinsese contributions to astronomy, medicine, and physical and biological sciences, as well as technology, engineering and especially inventions. The book has larger font which makes it easier for kids to read, and it also has a few pictures throughout the book, however, the pictures are not very clear and they are only black and white. The book is organized well and has an index in the back that can be very helpful if the student is looking for a particular piece of information. I think that third, fourth and fifth graders would benefit from this book much more than Kindergartners through second graders. I rate this book a 3/5.… (plus d'informations)
