Cataclysm of the Ancients
Spire Novel, Book 4
By: Simon Rosser
Narrated by: Paul Richards
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is the kind of story I like! Action, adventure, thrills, touch of the unknown, and characters I can enjoy. There are terrorist, twists, suspense, and an unknown weapon from the past,
The end was strange. I would say unbelievable because they didn't go to the hospital due to formaldehyde but the fact they had a weapon from the past, well....😊
The narration wasn't as good as usual for these books but fair. otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Overall, a very enjoyable book!

Vaporized
Apocalyptic-Adventure Thriller
By: Simon Rosser
Narrated by: Margie Valine
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. Objects came in from outer space but doesn't land as expected. Other things happen that is not expected! No zombies, which makes it a good book to me! Tired of zombies! Lol! It has an original idea, suspense, and chills.
The narration was not a performance but just someone reading, at least that's the way it sounded.

Tipping Point: Action-Adventure Thriller
By: Simon Rosser
Narrated by: Chris MacDonnell
The first in the series of Robert Spires, an environmental lawyer. I read the books out of order, oops! I missed this one and started on #2. I'm glad I went back to get the basics of Spires. He is just a lawyer but in these stories he is more like a James Bond without the cool gadgets and government backing. In this one he ends up following leads, which I mean dead bodies, that takes him to the Arctic and still the the evil bad guys are there! Persistent buggers! Lots of suspense, thrills, and intrigue.
The narration was spot on!

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
"Salient" is my introduction to Rosser's writing. I listened to it on Audible, but I highly recommend this book in whatever format that you enjoy.
The author does a fine job of world building and character development. Rosser weaves a good tale balancing action and exposition.
I suspect, based in the epilogue that this is the lead book in a series, I hope so.
This next bit won't interest text readers, but Audible users might be interested... David Loving, the narrator, does a great job of bringing the book to life. I look forward to hearing more from him in future.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.
