Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing.Animal Beauty looks like a picture book, though Amazon correctly, in my opinion, places it in the age group of 5-9 years of age. The theme of body image belongs in lower elementary students. The attractive book color will appeal to preschoolers, but I think younger children reading this will then be taught to consider body image when they just want to play with clay, draw and color.

The book begins with one person and progresses to a whole planet full. The renderings of background of each is line drawings of green on white with the people in full color. The situations support the numbers of people as they grow and grow. Absolutely wonderful!
The illustrations by the author are fun, simple, brilliantly diverse, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age (6-106) including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school, church library, or your local public library (or Norwegian grandkid)! If getting as eBook, be sure to get Adobe Digital Editions on laptop for absolutely best effect.
