Gr 9 Up—Campy humor and self-discovery collide as Randy trades his dramatic flare for straight-acting masculinity
to win the heart of his crush at a camp for queer-identifying teens. This LGBTQIA+ book goes beyond queer comingout stories, instead showing teens a world where everyone is accepted for who they are and where sexuality can be
discussed freely and honestly.

4.5 rounded up. Although "Lavender House" might be a touch easy to solve for anyone who has read a few Agatha Christies, it is an entertaining, well-written mystery with a delightful little cast and a fun setting! I hope Rosen writes more like this in the future; it's a great balance of suspense and character development, and made for a solid autumn weekend read. The world needs more queer mysteries like this!

What an absolutely delightful sequel. I loved getting more backstory and depth to Andy while meeting an almost entirely new cast of characters. Delightful twists and turns with so much heart, like all of Rosen’s books I’ve read so far.

This book had me sold from the start. If you’re a fan of the 90s Mummy movie or Indiana Jones, you’ll love the action packed chapters as they search ancient temples. The main character has a great balance of wit, wisdom, bravery, with the right kind of pettiness (when deserved). The romantic parts made me feel like I was 17 again with a stomach filled with butterflies. I laughed, cried, gasped, and mourned with Ten.

Cannot wait to see where the next books go!!
