Though I've never been to New York City or read the column that this book is pulled from, I really enjoyed jumping into the homes of the various families featured in Habitats. Constance Rosenblum does a great job of choosing people from very different backgrounds, ages, and places in society to feature; allowing readers to see that the experience of living in New York City is a common one, regardless of so many other differences.
