Welwyn Archaeological Society - Courte biographie
- Tony Rook has been employed at various times as a radar expert, gardener, research building technologist, technical editor, science teacher, archaeologist, WEA lecturer, and university extramural tutor. He is the Director of the Welwyn Archaeological Society and of the Roman Building Trust. He is a member of the Society of Authors and has appeared in several TV programmes, including Chronicle, What the Romans Did For Us, History Fix, Mysteries of Lost Empires, Building a Roman House, Time Team and Tales from the Country.
Now retired from industrial research and from teaching, he spends much of his time in writing mostly about archaeology and giving illustrated talks. His visiting card tells us that hs is "Tony Rook, BSc, MPhil, Hon MA, MIFA, FSA".
