The style of the cover is stunning! This book is a translation of the Ukraine story about war. It features three characters that live in the small and peaceful town of Rondo and their daily lives. Eventually, a personified War comes and plagues the town's inhabitants and destroys anything in its path. The three friends seek to put a stop to war by exploring options. The illustration is unique, and a bit abstract; however, the author uses color to best display emotion. Muted tones represent danger and despair, while colorful ones as hope and strength. Romana Romanyshyn y Andriy Lesiv han representado visualmente el mundo de los sonidos y han unido armoniosamente lo cognitivo con lo filosófico.

Fuerte, suave, murmurado empieza con el instante en el que se produjo la Gran Explosión, cuando «en el principio era el silencio». En el libro descubriremos la representación de la estructura del oído humano, los diferentes tipos de voces, así como información sobre los sonidos más suaves y más fuertes que llenan el mundo, datos divertidos sobre cómo oyen los animales, la lengua de signos para sordos. Es curioso descubrir que la potencia de un concierto de rock y el llanto de un bebé no se diferencian mucho. Al final el lector se sumerge en el silencio como el que se oye cuando se arrastra un caracol, cruje un papel o late un corazón.
