The look of almost all of the critters is essentially the same. It is good for a beginner but even then I wouldn't buy it. I bought it online so didn't look at all the pictures/patterns first. You'd have more variety even as a beginner if you downloaded free amigurumi patterns from the internet.

Ana Paula Rimoli has done it again! The author of two previous books on amigurumi has come up with more delightful designs of these little crocheted softies. In this book she has patterns for mom and baby koalas, pigs and polar bears, as well as a tugboat, sea animals and a sweet boston terrier, to name just a few. While I love all the designs, I think the shy little unicorn is my favourite.
If you love creating small crocheted friends, you must have this book!

Cute, crocheted amigurumi are all the rage these days and Ana Paula Rimoli has the cutest patterns of all! This book includes many sweet designs suitable for little ones or anyone who loves these crocheted softies. There are patterns for mobiles, stroller toys, rattles and mom or dad and baby sets. You'll find designs from bunnies to babies to tigers, with a birthday cake and robots thrown in.
You'll love the designs in this book and with Ana Paula's instructions, you'll have them whipped up in no time.… (plus d'informations)

Just like Amigurumi World from Ana Paula Rimoli, Amigurumi Two is full of a large variety of cute patterns! While the first book was an overall look at amigurumi, Amigurumi Two! has more of a focus on toys for babies. And if you are like me you really don't have any need for that but there are still some great patterns in there besides those and I think if you wanted to you could modify the patterns for babies to fit your own tastes and needs. The baby patterns include mobiles, stroller toys and rattles.

I think it's so great that she could create another whole book with brand new and different patterns, together they make the perfect set! Like the other book this one also has the parent and child pattern sets (bees, tigers, squirrels, and my personal favorite the robots!) Other great patterns include little animals hidden inside of fruits and flowers, sweet peas, and animals in pjs!

Overall, I could have done without the baby toys but for some people that will be their favorite part of this book and they can be easily modified to serve a different purpose! Definitely recommend!
