Jack Ridl is the author of Broken Symmetry (Wayne State University Press, 2006), named best book of poetry for 2006 by The Society of Midland Authors, and of Losing Season, and is co-author with Peter Schakel of Approaching Literature. He is professor emeritus at Hope College, where he was named afficher plus Michigan's Professor of the Year in 1996 by the Carnegie (CA.S.E.) Foundation. Broken Symmetry (Made in Michigan Writers Series) par Jack Ridl

Jack is my "father" poet. I took classes from him in poetry at Hope and I must say that his poetry gets better and better. Broken Symmetry is so beautiful and so exquisite that I feel I have to take a moment to savor each poem after I'm done reading it.
