After meeting with Mike and hearing what he had to say, Penny and her superior decide to give Mike a lateral transfer so the employees would know that sexual harassment isn't tolerated but Mike would not have a loss in income becuase this was the first complaing against him.
After the transfer, a number of the employees in Mike's old unit ask to go with him to his new unit and Penny talks to Mike again. She informs him that the complaint didn't come from the female employee but another person in his unit. Mike tells Penny that this is because that employee didn't know the entire situation and that Penny acted too soon without knowing the facts.
Penny meets a man named John who has studied human relationships in the workplace hand he tells her that it is often the woman who instuitues the first advance and that she may have judged Mike wrong.
Penny tries to remedy the situation and eventually begins to have feelings for him herself.
